What I concluded Remarkable: It is very expensive typewriter.

If you really want to take digital notes, buy iPad with Paperlike folio. But wait, Remarkable is distraction free: There is an option in iPad: “Don’t disturb”. But wait, I still open x,y,z applications: Delete all applications. But I can download from AppStore again: if you are a child, maybe your parents put child lock or need to see your therapist. Sorry, I don’t want to be mean but I cannot see another way. The distraction topic is becoming so crazy that we need to put people to prison not using social media.

I can search my notes, can find what I wrote 5 years ago: I am doing the same and most probably my workflow is better than Remarkable because I am also creating mind map, possible gaps in my writing to fill etc. Full open source, no need programming experience, ready, and free tools. I believe Remarkable doesn’t give you this service for free. All you need to do with pen and paper is scanning. You can do with Google Drive, iOS files, Dropbox or 3rd party app for free. I don’t need to pay a service to keep my notes forever. After you complete writing, just need to scan. It takes 10 seconds top. If this 10 seconds damage your productivity, then sorry.

Notebooks take too much space. Well, yes, you are right. After a year or two, I am recycling my physical notebooks. It is so easy.

Do you have any more arguments? Please let me know. I am not against the device, as you can imagine, I also wanted to buy but it is no sense based on pricing and what it offers.

Remarkable is just another electronics device that you need to put money on without adjustable requirements. If you have money to burn, please be my guest but don’t try to convince people as it is a really necessary. All the biggest ideas that shape our current world had started with pen/pencil and paper; not imitation devices.
